Exfoliate Entire Body. Use an exfoliating mitt or dry brush for a clean slate. Avoid loofah combos, as they often contain oils that leave a residue.

Manicure & Pedicure. If done on the tan day, skip oils/lotions from your nail technician. Post-tan days, be cautious—soaking, acetone, oils, or lotions may lead to uneven tans.

Skip Bar Soaps & Cream-Based Body Washes. Bar soaps/cream-based body washes (like Dove) leave residues, creating barriers for the tan. Opt for gel-based body washes for the best results.

Shower Timing is Key. Shower at least FOUR hours before tanning to let your pH levels neutralize. If you must shower within four hours, end with cold water to close pores.

Spa Treatments Last. If you're indulging in a spa facial/massage, make tanning your final beauty treatment. Spa products can create barriers that affect the tan's application.

Say No to Lotions, Oils, Deodorant, Perfumes, Or Makeup. To ensure the perfect tan, avoid applying any of these products—they can create a barrier on your skin. If you've already applied them, no worries! Just grab a Micellar Wipe to gently remove. And remember, steer clear of Neutrogena Makeup Wipes; they're a bit too oily and could create an extra barrier.

Opt for Dark, Loose-Fitting Clothing & Open-Toed Sandals. The ideal post-tan attire? A comfy sweat outfit! Avoid tight clothing right after the tan to prevent any unwanted lines caused by friction. Note that the bronzer may transfer to your clothes, but it's water-soluble and should wash out like a breeze.

Avoid Moisture Until Initial Rinse. Refrain from showering, working out, applying lotions, or using liquid foundations until your initial rinse. Also, keep those playful pets from licking!

Hands-Off During Development. Resist the urge to touch your body while your tan is developing to avoid orange palms. If you accidentally make contact, use an exfoliating mitt to lighten your hands.

Standard Tan Rinsing (8-12 Hours). For standard tans, rinse within 8-12 hours. Visible color will appear post-rinse, but hold off on moisturizing for an additional 12 hours. Rinse with water only, pat dry—no rubbing.

Express Tan Rinsing (2-4 Hours). Express tan lovers, it's a quicker rinse in 2-4 hours. You won't see much color initially, so be patient and moisturize after about 24 hours. Similar rinse instructions apply—water only, pat dry.

Rinse at Designated Time. Stick to your designated rinse time to ensure your tan develops just right. Deviating may lead to a tan that's too light or too dark. Watch out for ammonia from urine during the rinse, as it can cause streaking. If streaks appear post-shower, hop back in and guide the leftover bronzer off with your hand.

Moisturize Twice Daily. Keep your skin hydrated for a longer-lasting tan by moisturizing morning and night. Opt for a moisturizer free of mineral oil and artificial fragrance. Be cautious with acne/retinol products, as they may cause blotchiness.

Avoid Certain Activities. Extend the life of your tan by steering clear of swimming, long hot showers/baths, saunas, and excessive sweating. Engaging in these activities may cause your tan to fade quickly.

Hold Off on Exfoliating. Refrain from exfoliating until your tan is at the end of its life. Skip loofahs or wash rags during showers. Use hands only in necessary areas (Pits + Privates) to ensure a tan that lasts.
